'Botanical Flamboyance'

The narrative I investigated within this Live project given by 'Hacer and Urban Foundry' is based around Swansea's Gardens, and more significantly Singleton Botanical Gardens. I have lived in Swansea all my life but I never knew of the amazing hidden garden secret that was Singleton Botanicals. When visiting I was amazed to see the large Biophilic collection available, the colourful blends of hues and the textures created within each plant. Upon finding and curating imagery, I revisited the gardens and was surprised to see how the gardens are always in bloom with different botanicals making an appearance throughout the seasons. I really wanted to understand the history and background into Swansea Gardens and the biophilia.
To immerse into the idea of supporting and showcasing the natural environment, I have used only deadstock fabrics or materials which would have been wasted.
